Kadri

Breed: Winged Wolf
Personality:
Guilty/Regretful: Kadri used to be very innocent in both relationships and normal life. However, that innocence was snapped away from her in an impulsive decision to try and make her mate happy. Unfortunately, her rash decision has pushed her to avoiding her mate during the day as she tries to cope with her mistake. Now she struggles with the decision on whether or not she should confess it to her mate or let him figure it out on his own (if he hasn’t already figured it out).
Loyal Yet Disloyal: Despite her mistake, Kadri thinks of herself as extremely loyal to bother her family and her mate. She wants the best for them and would die to protect them. Unfortunately, her loyalty to her mate was what indirectly led to her disloyalty.
Superficially Laid Back but Annoyed to Impulsiveness by Trivialities: Kadri tries not to let things bother her. As a royal, she needs to have a check on her temper or it will reflect badly on her entire family. However, little things can set her off if she’s caught in the wrong mood. This is especially true when she feels like she’s being nagged about something.
She has different ways to deal with her annoyances which include just walking away, letting it simmer for later, or doing something rash and impulsive. Her impulsiveness usually makes itself known when she feels like she’s being nagged by close family or relatives and usually ends with her doing something that she thinks will make them leave her alone.
Gregarious: When other wolves do not do something that gets on her nerves, Kadri can be very friendly and out-going towards others. She loves large gatherings of her people because it gives her a chance to socialize with wolves outside of the royal family. She can make friends with a variety of personalities, and she will be friendly even to those that annoy her just to keep her family’s good name. If she feels like she’s going to yell at someone at a gathering, she’ll try to find a secluded space to rant to herself or she might use other means to get the other wolf to leave her alone.
Manipulative: As a last resort to her problems, Kadri can be very manipulative. Kadri has the slightly less common magic over souls. She has yet to master it, but she can use the basics of manipulating another’s thoughts or actions. If there’s no way to escape a situation that frustrates her, she’ll use this power to get the other wolf to leave her alone. Because of this ability (with a huge amount of concentration), she can also sense how a wolf might react to certain pieces of conversation and manipulate the conversation that way. She does not use this method very often because of the sheer concentration involved, but she likes to have it as an option. This is a good way to get around the law prohibiting the use of magic for violence or unethical personal gain.
Likes:
Her Son: This would seem like a given but Kadri loves her son, Demir, more than anyone else (even her mate). She sees Demir as both a mark of her disloyalty and the one true way to please her mate. She feels a need to protect and shelter him from as much as possible because of his lack of wings; the winged wolf’s most common feature.
Long Flights: Kadri loves the freedom of a flight around her kingdom. It distracts her from life’s problems much like a long walk would distract land-bound beings from the problems of their lives. Kadri will often sneak out without a guard and fly for as long as she can to relax and escape the wolves that annoy her most.
Fighting: Like most wolves, Kadri was trained in fighting from an early age, starting with play and slowly progressing to formal training as she grew older. She views fighting as a way to relieve stress from her very stressful life. During the war between winged wolves and normal wolves, she was just as likely to be on the battlefield with her people as her mate was. Her parents were against her fighting in the war, but they stayed behind in their own land and had no control over what her mate, as the new king, agreed to let her do.
Dislikes:
Her Son: As much as Kadri loves Demir; no matter how much she loves him and feels the need to protect him, Kadri cannot help but show a colder side towards him because of him being a symbol of her disloyalty. The thought is always in the back of her mind, nagging her, and being cold towards him is in line with letting it simmer until she finally acts.
Being Bothered About What She Should Do: Being raised in the royal family, Kadri’s tolerance for being commanded by other slowly dwindled as she grew. This is why being nagged by other wolves gets on her nerves so much. She will listen to others’ opinions, but if they continue to bother her about what they think should be done, she’ll slowly lose her desire to carry out those tasks. This creates a problem when she’s in charge of something related to ruling the kingdom.
Losing: As someone who likes to fight to relieve her stress, Kadri hates losing to others. Losing causes relieving stress through fighting to lose its meaning and is trivial enough to annoy her to no end if the fight was only for fun. Also, fighting with powers among the winged wolves is an indirect test of skill between the two and losing makes her feel weak compared to other soul users.
