Mizani
Lines By: Dragonzluvr
Gender: Female
Species: Leopard (can be drawn as a domestic cat or owl)
Personality:
As the character that represents me as a whole, she’s shy, calm, and collected with an internal temper. She might mutter about something or share her anger with close friends, but she won't start a fight with someone unless she's sure she would win. Because of her bottled up anger, there are times when she’ll seem more upset about something than she really should be, which poses a problem if she’s in a social situation.
She prefers smaller groups of close friends and jokes or actions between her and her friends might seem strange to outsiders. She's very unlikely to show if she's hurt when she's in front of others. She's a pretty good listener, but when she's listening to others who are upset, she seems kind of unemotional; however, she really does care about the feelings of the one she's talking to.
She can be very indecisive at times, but will argue to the ends of the earth if she’s passionate about something. This trait causes her to be rather inflexible once she actually makes up her mind about a subject.
Symbolism: Mizani is a leopard with mostly blue markings on her right side and mostly green markings on her left. Green and blue are my two favorite colors. Also, as someone with faith outside of an organized religion (I believe in God, I just don't fit into any religion), the concept of yin and yang is part of my chosen beliefs. That's why there's a little of the opposite color on both sides. I chose a black base color to show my shyer side. I don't really like conflict that much and would rather just blend into the background. The secretive life of a leopard was what went into my final decision of what species I wanted for my fursona.
The yen sign on her left thigh was really just a joke with my friends when I made her. I was studying for Japanese class while directing my friend (who was doing a reference sheet of her) on what I wanted. However, it was a distinctive mark that shows my interest in Japanese culture, so it ended up on the final design. There’s still a chance I will edit it into something more personal later, but I have yet to decide what that might be.
